The YOT’s Victim-Liaison Officer, before referring a case, asks and notes:
- How did the victim feel at the time of the incident?
- What is the attitude of the victim towards the offender now?
- Does the victim have any questions or comments for the offender?
- Is the victim suffering any after effects of the offence?
- Are there any secondary victims, and if so, how have they been affected?
